On 8 January 1855, Robert was listed as both security and an appraiser
for the will of Joshua R. McCook. The adminstrators were Samuel D. Harp
and Henry J. King. Other security was provided by William N. King. Other
appraisers were J. M. Renfroe, Daniel Majors, John F. Daniel and Henry

In April 1863, Robert applied for guardianship of George J., James M.,
Mary J., Robert B., Elijah G. and Martha A. Wallis, orphans of John
Wallis deceased. (HCCG)
On 2 Jan 1865, Robert secured a bond allowing Ann S. Whigham to become
adminstrator of the estate of Thomas G. Whigham.
