Note for: Catherine Weir, - UNKNOWN Index
This individual is only a guess based on the picture of a woman in
Scotland with the notation "Grandma Moran's (Catherine Bauld Moran) Aunt
Kate." Could this be the wife of James Caldwell with whom Catherine
Russell Weir was living when she died? A later photo has the notation
"Grandma Moran's Aunt Kate. Husband was James. They lived their lives in
Scotland."
Another photo shows a man on a ship with a fiddle. The notations say
"Grandma Moran's Uncle Will Spence," "Husband of Aunt Kate," and "He was
an engineer on ship."
It would make sense for "Aunt Kate" to be Mary Weir's sister but two
sisters with the name "Kate?" It seems their are two husbands of this
generation for females names "Kate."

In his 21 Jun letter to Thomas Benton Fillis, Dr. Joseph Keberlet noted
that Apollonia was living with her son Franz at the time. Presumably
because her husband had already passed away.
