Note for:   Joseph Julien,   BET. JUN 1834 - MAY 1835 - BET. 16 JUN 1880 - 11 JUN 1900         Index
Occupation:
     Date:   JUN 1880
     Place:   Carpenter

Note:    It would appear that the Julien family moved from Canada to the US between 1870 and 1872. Florence was born in Canada and the next youngest child, Hanje, was born in Massachusetts. Virginie was born in 1876 in Illinois. Did the family actually settle in Massachusetts for a while or was Hanje born during the move?

Note for:   Carolina Bourget,   BET. JUN 1834 - MAY 1835 - AFT. 11 JUN 1900         Index
In the 1900 Cook County, IL census, Caroline is shown living with her daughter Florence and her husband Albert Jacobs. Caroline's son and Florence's brother Charles is also living with the Jacobs.

She also states that she immigrated in 1873. Earlier conjecture places her immigration between Feb 1870 and May 1872 (Florence's birth date in Canada and the latest possible date for Hanje's birth in Massachusetts). Caroline's son Charles is listed as having been naturalized by the 1900 census. These documents may have a more accurate date.
